oh what a terribly soft concession... and to latch onto something as an excuse for your own team's own shortcomings so soon in the season is downright embarrassing.
to think that the presence of a full back in the United side would halt the Chelsea juggernaut is folly at best.

It does seem likely that Chelsea will run away with it again... Can't see them dropping too many points this term.

Huh? My feeling is that the Premiership is Chelsea's to lose already. They are very boring to watch but they don't look like even conceding a goal never mind dropping any points. Whatever slim chance United have/had of catching them is surely made slimmer still by Gabby's injury depriving us of one of our better competitors. That's all. I don't see any "excuses" in this.

saying 'might as well give it to chelsea now' 'just' because Heinze is out seemed like creating a premade excuse. anyhow, now that Keano's out too it's not looking any better!
